PRGF stands for Plasma Rich in Growth Factors. It is an advanced biotechnological therapy that uses a patient's own blood to encourage both healing and tissue regrowth after dental procedures such as tooth extraction, and was developed by the BTI Biotechnology Institute.
PRGF treatment is also an excellent option for patients who want to have dental implants but who currently lack the bone density to support those implants. It is a safe, tested and effective alternative to complicated bone graft procedures, with treatment time being three times quicker than with standard bone graft treatment. This treatment is also used to treat certain periodontal (gum) defects.
Using your own blood in lieu of donor or artificial material increases the chances of success and stimulates healing. PRGF comes in liquid, gel and fibrin membrane formats, meaning that it can be applied in a variety of complex clinical situations.
In its liquid form it is used to wet dental implant surfaces, reducing the oseointegration time (the time it takes for your implants to integrate with your jaw bone).
After a tooth has been extracted, a healing plug made of PRGF material may be placed in the socket. As well as encouraging and speeding up healing it reduces swelling and pain, and will provide antibacterial protection from infection.

We will take a small amount of blood.
The blood is put through a centrifugation and fractioning process, which produces plasma rich in growth factors. This is a patented process known as PRGF-Endoret and is approved by the FDA and CE.
The PRGF material is prepared in the appropriate format for your treatment – liquid, gel or fibrin membrane, depending what it will be used for, and placed accordingly.
